Licensed to care for up to six registered children at a time, Ms. Tinu’s program ensures small group sizes and plenty of personalized attention. Each day is carefully balanced with structured learning and free play, including activities from the Discovery Tots curriculum, storytime, crafts, music, and outdoor play. Children also enjoy imaginative games such as building, puzzles, and role-play, which support creativity, social skills, and problem-solving.

Enrichment opportunities such as the Puppy Program and Music Time with our in-house music teacher give children the chance to build empathy, rhythm, creativity, and social confidence in fun, hands-on ways.

I opened Discovery Tots Licensed Family Day Home to create a safe, loving, and enriching environment for children to learn and grow—just like I’ve provided for my own three kids. With two years of child care experience, an Early Childhood Educator Level 1 certification, a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, a Health Care Aide certificate, First Aid and CPR, Alberta Food Safety Basics, and Alberta Health & Safety for Child Care training, I bring a strong foundation of both professional education and hands-on care to every child I welcome into my home.

What makes Discovery Tots special is the peaceful, nurturing atmosphere where children are treated like family. I’m deeply committed to their safety, emotional development, and happiness. Inspired by my experience as a mom, I believe every child deserves a space where they feel seen, supported, and encouraged to grow with confidence.

One of my favorite parts of working with children is witnessing their joy, curiosity, and the sweet ways they show love. I’ll always remember a moment when a child I had cared for saw me at church after months apart—he ran to me with a big smile and gave me the warmest hug. That moment reminded me just how meaningful this work is.
