Her licensed family dayhome is thoughtfully arranged with inviting indoor play and learning spaces, along with outdoor time built into the daily routine, giving children the chance to explore, discover, and play safely.

Conveniently located in the heart of Bowness, just off Bowness Road NW, families benefit from easy curbside pickup and drop-off. Nearby parks, schools, and community amenities make this neighborhood especially family-friendly.

Licensed to care for up to six registered children at a time, Ms. Germaine ensures small group sizes and personalized attention. Each day is balanced with structured learning and free play, including activities from the Discovery Tots curriculum, storytime, crafts, music, outdoor play, and imaginative games such as building, puzzles, and role-play.

Enrichment opportunities such as the Puppy Program and Music Time with our in-house music teacher give children the chance to develop empathy, rhythm, creativity, and social skills in engaging ways.

I opened Discovery Tots Bowness to give parents peace of mind, knowing their little ones are cared for just like family—with patience, warmth, and genuine attention. With 20 years of experience in childcare and a Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification, along with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, I provide a nurturing and supportive environment where children feel safe and valued.

My dayhome is special because it is built on love and care every day, offering a balance of fun and learning. Through creative play, hands-on activities, and age-appropriate lessons, I encourage curiosity while maintaining a smaller group size so each child receives personalized attention and meaningful connection. I also take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized space for every child.

What I love most about working with children is their imagination and how they can turn even the simplest moments into exciting adventures. I enjoy being someone they can rely on—celebrating their successes and comforting them when they feel unsure.

A little about me: I love turning everyday moments into little adventures and creating a space where every child feels safe, loved, and part of our dayhome family. My approach is centered on building strong relationships and helping children feel confident and secure.
